Geotechnical solutions for Hydraulic Engineering
We offer customized roll widths and thicknesses, and provide material calculation solutions for complex working conditions worldwide. We provide customized geotechnical solutions for dams, canals, and coastal engineering projects to ensure project safety, seepage prevention, and durability.
Core water conservancy application areas
Dam & Reservoir
Pain Points: Rising infiltration line, piping in the dam body, and structural leakage.
Solution: Use HDPE geomembrane or composite geomembrane. High elongation ensures the material can adapt to dam settlement and deformation, while ultra-low permeability provides a durable waterproof barrier.
Canal & Slope
Pain Point: Bank erosion and soil loss caused by water flow.
Solution: Use geocells filled with vegetated soil. The honeycomb structure effectively disperses water flow shear stress while fixing vegetation roots, achieving a balance between engineering protection and ecological landscape.
Canal Lining
Pain Point: Channel leakage and soil particle loss leading to lining delamination.
Solution: Non-woven geotextile as a filter layer. While ensuring smooth drainage, it intercepts fine soil particles, preventing erosion and instability of the channel foundation.
Dam seepage prevention and structural reinforcement system
High water pressure and seepage in large reservoirs pose a critical risk. Weiwo offers high-tensile-strength composite geomembranes with an integrated "seepage prevention-protection" structure, capable of accommodating settlement and deformation of the dam body during the initial impoundment phase.
Core Materials: 1.5mm+ HDPE geomembrane / 800g+ composite geomembrane
Key Benefits: Lowers the phreatic line, prevents piping on dam slopes, and has a design life exceeding 50 years.

Lining schemes for long-span canals and irrigation areas
In agricultural irrigation and inter-basin water transfer, channel leakage rates can reach as high as 40%. We construct a drainage and pressure relief system by combining a three-dimensional geonet with a geomembrane to prevent the lining from bulging.
Core Materials: Composite drainage net (GNET) / Geocell
Key Value: Achieves over 98% seepage prevention efficiency, reducing channel maintenance frequency.

Ecological slope protection and scour control
Traditional concrete revetments damage the ecosystem. Weiwo geocells provide mechanical reinforcement while allowing vegetation growth, absorbing water flow shear forces, and restoring the river's self-purification capacity.
Core Material: High-strength HDPE geocells / Vegetation bags
Key Value: Resistant to water flow speeds exceeding 5 m/s, rapidly constructing green ecological shorelines.

Comparison of technical performance of materials for water conservancy projects
Data reference based on international ASTM/ISO testing standards
| Application Scenario | Recommended Material | Core Physical Properties | Critical Engineering Solutions |
| Reservoir & Dam Seepage Control | Composite Geomembrane (One side Geotextile-bonded) | Elongation at Break > 600% / Permeability Coefficient < 1.0×10⁻¹³ cm/s | Prevents the Phreatic Line from rising too high, mitigating the risk of dam breach or piping. |
| Riverbank & Slope Protection | HDPE Geocell (Cellular Confinement System) | Junction Peel Strength > 1400 N/10cm | Confines soil to resist erosion; supports vegetation growth under high-velocity hydraulic flow. |
| Filtration & Subsurface Drainage | Filament Non-woven Geotextile | Apparent Opening Size (O95): 0.07–0.2 mm | Facilitates water discharge while preventing the migration of fine soil particles (Filtration Principle). |
| Soft Soil Foundation Stabilization | Woven Geotextile / Steel-Plastic Geogrid | Tensile Strength: 50 kN/m – 100 kN/m | Increases bearing capacity and distributes loads to prevent soil sliding and lateral displacement. |
ProfessionalHydraulic EngineeringFAQ
How to prevent geomembrane from being punctured by sharp stones under high water pressure?
Our professional solution is a "sandwich" structure: a high-grammage (e.g., 400g/m² or higher) long-filament nonwoven geotextile is laid on both the top and bottom of the HDPE geomembrane. The geotextile acts as a buffer layer, absorbing localized concentrated stress and protecting the seepage-proof core from damage.
How to assess the welding quality of canal seepage prevention projects?
We strictly adhere to the "double-seam air pressure testing" procedure. An air cavity is reserved between the two weld seams, and the pressure drop is observed after pressurization. Furthermore, vacuum chamber testing is used for complex areas. We can dispatch experienced technicians to provide on-site guidance to ensure zero-defect project delivery.
Will Weiwo's geocells degrade under long-term immersion in water?
Absolutely not. We use antioxidant virgin HDPE material and add special carbon black, which has extremely strong resistance to acids, alkalis, and UV rays. Even in environments with periodic fluctuations in river water levels, its service life can reach over 70 years.
Which international standards do your products meet?
Our products meet GRI-GM13 (HDPE), ASTM D standards, and CE certification. We have a CNAS-accredited laboratory, and each batch of products comes with a complete factory test report.
