Mining Ground Stabilization with High-Strength Geosynthetics
Weiwo delivers engineered geosynthetic solutions for mining, tackling slope stability, subgrade reinforcement, erosion control, and drainage. Our durable, cost-effective systems ensure long-term performance under harsh site conditions.
Weiwo High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Geomembrane
Applications: Heap leaching lining, main impermeable layer of tailings dam, evaporation pond.
Uses high-quality virgin resin and is specifically designed for the extreme chemical environment and physical stress of mining areas.
Environmental Stress Cracking Resistance (ESCR): > 500 hours (ASTM D5397), ensuring no brittle fracture under heap leaching loads.
Carbon Black Content: 2.0% - 3.0%, providing excellent long-term UV resistance, suitable for exposed evaporation ponds.
Tensile Properties: Extremely high yield strength and elongation at break (> 700%), capable of accommodating uneven settlement during heap filling.
Thickness Range: 1.0mm - 3.0mm optional, meeting various engineering needs from general sewage disposal to heavy-duty deep wells.

Reinforced geosynthetic clay liner (GCL)
Application areas: Tailings dam secondary seepage prevention, composite seepage prevention system, environmental protection barrier.
GCL uses a needle-punching process to lock natural sodium-based bentonite between two layers of geotextile, forming a smart barrier that "heals itself when exposed to water".
Bentonite expansion volume: ≥ 24 mL/2g,Ensure an extremely low hydraulic permeability coefficient.
Permeability: ≤5×10-11m/s,It provides better waterproofing than thick clay layers, even in thin layers.
Peel strength:≥ 66 N/10cm (ASTM D6496),The needle-punched fibers are tightly bonded to prevent interlayer slippage during slope construction.
Self-healing properties: To address the potential for tiny punctures in mine water, bentonite expands upon contact with water and can automatically fill pores up to 1 cm in diameter.

High-strength polyester (PET) warp-knitted geogrid
Applications: Reinforced soil retaining walls, mine road reinforcement, tailings dam reinforcement.
Made with a high-molecular-weight polyester fiber warp-knitted mesh, coated with a special polymer adhesive, specifically designed for high-load mining engineering.
Ultimate Tensile Strength: Bidirectional/unidirectional selectable, up to 800 kN/m - 1200 kN/m.
Low Creep: Extremely high long-term strength retention within the design life (50-100 years), ensuring structural stability for permanent mining projects.
Creep Shrinkage Coefficient: Designed for harsh geological conditions in mines, the creep coefficient is below 1.45 (10,000-hour test).
Interface Efficiency: Utilizing warp knitting technology, the high node strength allows for excellent interlocking with the filling aggregate.

Drainage & Reinforcement Systems
Besides seepage prevention, the stability of a mine's geological structure also relies on efficient drainage treatment.
Geocomposites (composite drainage network)
Applications: Bottom drainage of heap leaching fields, tailings dam drainage.
High conductivity: Maintains excellent planar water conductivity under high pressure loads (high rockfill pressure), rapidly discharging leachate.
Anti-clogging design: The composite geotextile filter layer prevents fine particles from entering the drainage core, ensuring the system remains unclog-free over the long term.
